[Remote] Associate Investment Advisor (CSC, CPH)

They are seeking an Associate Investment Advisor to support Advisors and Administrative Assistants, focusing on client relationship management and sales support while developing skills in the financial services sector.ResponsibilitiesProactively build and grow a book of clients through service-oriented sales strategies to achieve business development goalsSchedule client-advisor meetings and facilitate the transition of client relationshipSupport Advisors with meeting preparations, forms completion and any additional requestsCultivate long-term client relationships by gaining insight into their financial goals and providing tailored financial advice with the support of AdvisorsIdentify opportunities to expand client relationships through assets consolidation, addressing insurance needs and facilitating referralsEnsure accuracy and up-to-date information in client accounts and documentationExecute client trade accurately and in a timely mannerStay up to date with regulatory rules and changes in the investment industryStay informed about market trends and economic developments that may impact client portfoliosFollow up with clients on missing documentation requiredMaintain client files and information on the appropriate systemsRespond promptly and effectively to client inquiries and requestsProvide knowledgeable and precise service to clients to meet their needs effectivelyDocument all client interactions and transactions accuratelyResolve issues and process client transactions expediently and accurately, escalating issues to the Director when necessaryUnderstand required documentation for all client account typesEnsure compliance of team policies and proceduresCollaborate with business partners and independent advisors to enhance client service and offeringsSkills1-3 years of experience in investment advisory, wealth management, financial planning or similar roleExcellent communication skills, written and verbalPleasant telephone manner and an ability to keep client conversations on trackWorking knowledge of investment and retirement planning to meet the needs of clientsStrong organizational skillsAbility to take initiative and work independentlyAbility to meet deadlines and targetsStrong understanding of industry and firm compliance regulationsCanadian Securities Course (CSC) completedConduct & Practices Handbook course (CPH) completedWealth Management Essentials course (WME) completed or enrolledPreference will be given to applicants that are already licensed with CIRO as Investment or Registered RepresentativePreference will be given to applicants that have financial planning coursesBilingual [French/English] is advantageousCompany OverviewiA Financial Group is one of the largest insurance and wealth management groups in Canada, with operations in the United States.
