[Remote] Associate General Counsel, Commercial and Partnerships

They are seeking an Associate General Counsel for Commercial and Partnerships to lead a team, negotiate deals, provide legal counsel, and support business objectives while addressing legal and regulatory concerns. Responsibilities • Provide oversight of and strategic leadership for a diverse range of complex deals and exploration of business opportunities in numerous jurisdictions. • Proactively address and resolve legal, regulatory, and strategic concerns while providing risk mitigation advice to business clients and supporting business objectives. • Collaborate with business leadership, go-to-market teams, public policy experts, and other attorneys inside and outside Airbnb to help solve complex problems. • Review and analyze legal risks for Airbnb, including on development of products and services. • Devise processes and procedures to help support a rapidly growing, global business. Skills • Licensed attorney with 15-20+ years of significant commercial legal experience. • Licensed attorney in good standing of the bar of at least one U.S. state or territory. • Demonstrated record of successfully managing significant aspects of complex commercial matters. • Highly motivated, efficient, and organized. • Able to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment, both collaborating as part of a team and working independently. • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to advocate for a position while maintaining an open-minded approach. • Interest in expanding the scope of your practice, attention to details, and comfort with ambiguity. • Passion for travel and home sharing and deep appreciation for the Airbnb community. • Good sense of humor, disdain for drama, and desire to get things done. • Experience with global events and talent, brand-name commercial partnerships, and hospitality or commercial real estate. • Experience managing commercial legal teams. • Experience at or representing technology companies strongly preferred. Education Requirements • J.D. from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
