[Remote] Associate, Fund Accountant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Securitize is a leader in tokenizing real-world assets and is seeking an Associate, Fund Accountant to support hedge fund and alternative investment clients. This role involves maintaining accurate records for open-end alternative investment vehicles and offers hands-on exposure to cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Creation and ongoing maintenance of portfolio investment master records
ā¢ Processing of trades from centralized and decentralized exchanges
ā¢ Reconciliation of cash, positions, and profit & loss (P&L) across multiple exchanges, wallets, and custodians
ā¢ Valuation of investments across diverse asset classes
ā¢ Recording of fund operating expenses
ā¢ Reconciliation of operational bank accounts
ā¢ Calculation of investor-level fees, including management and performance fees
ā¢ Expertise in investor performance metrics, such as high-water marks, hurdle rates, and the crystallization of incentive fees
ā¢ Preparation of financial statements and portfolio schedules
Skills
ā¢ Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
ā¢ Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities
ā¢ Excited to develop expertise in digital assets, crypto markets, and alternative investments
ā¢ Client-service focused, responsive, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
ā¢ A collaborative team player who takes ownership of deliverables and values accuracy and accountability
ā¢ Able to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining precision and consistency
ā¢ Experience working in excel
ā¢ 1ā3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or portfolio accounting
ā¢ Exposure to hedge funds, crypto funds, or alternative investment vehicles
ā¢ Familiarity with portfolio accounting systems, fund accounting software, or reconciliation tools
ā¢ Experience supporting audits or NAV processes
