As an Associate Financial Planner, you will assist Financial Planners in ensuring client satisfaction while navigating regulatory issues and performing financial planning analyses across various needs.ResponsibilitiesPerforms financial planning analyses for clients including, but not limited to retirement, investments, estate, tax, education funding, real estate, and risk management needs analysisPrepares presentations, research, and supporting materials for client meetings and reviewsConducts assessments of clients and prospects’ evolving financial planning needs through proactively taking initiative to uncover new financial planning opportunitiesProvides reports including minimum distributions, performance, billing, insurance policies, and tax consequencesCalculates required minimum distributions, income needs, tax consequences, and contributions/withdrawalsProvides high-level contact with clients crafted to maintain and improve the client relationshipMaintains a proven understanding of the industry, products, and trendsSkillsMinimum 1-3 years of financial services industry experience required, specifically in a broker/dealer or registered investment advisor environmentFINRA Series 65 RequiredBachelor's degree in business or finance; or equivalent proven experienceGood understanding of finance and investment markets/securitiesAttention to detail, ability to coordinate work, and follow-up skills are crucial to the successful performance of position responsibilitiesAbility to prioritize and address multiple projects and meet deadlines is crucialStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsDetailed knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel is a mustCertified Financial Planner designation preferredFinancial Services & insurance sales experience preferredBenefitsDiscretionary bonusHealth, dental and other wellness plans401(k) contributionsCompany OverviewEdelman Financial Engines specializes in services concerning financial planning, retirement planning, personal finance and consulting.
