The Associate Director, Social Media will lead development and tactical initiatives, manage a team, and serve as social media counsel to clients while focusing on strategy, execution, and social consultation.ResponsibilitiesLead development and tactical initiatives for social media strategiesServe as social media counsel to Account staff and external clients in collaboration with the social team leadManage a team of junior staff across multiple projectsTake responsibility for strategy, execution, platform collaboration, and social consultationConduct social listening research to unearth insights and provide relevant observationsCreate, optimize, and manage social listening queries and data pullsDevelop and manage influencer relationship programs, including identification, analysis, and curation of influencersCommunicate paid social planning recommendations to clients, providing detailed tactical informationIllustrate how social media fits into a broader digital ecosystem and PESO structureCollaborate with other subject matter experts and engage in peer educationServe as the primary subject matter expert externallyTake responsibility for the financial health of social media projectsScope, staff, and report on social media project initiatives by budget, task, and level of effortBuild the business organically and participate in new business pitches as neededDemonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing biasAll other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism or Communications/PRApproximately 5+ years of related agency or business experienceHands on: High familiarity with business and personal use of social media, third-party management tools and social listening platforms. Ability to derive insights and actionable next steps from social listening data and social platform performance.
