They are seeking an Associate Director of Finance Operations to lead a finance and accounting team, manage compliance, and drive financial initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.ResponsibilitiesLead a finance and accounting team and serve as a strategic partner to VPs across key portfolios and Finance OperationsDemonstrate strong leadership and effectively model core leadership behaviorsManage and safeguard company assets while ensuring compliance with FAR, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and public company requirementsLead the Finance business line by aligning financial goals with corporate objectives, anticipating challenges, and driving corrective actions. Build strong cross-functional partnerships and maintain awareness of financial performance, culture, and competitive positionDrive continuous improvement by leading financial initiatives, partnering with program operations, and collaborating with corporate finance to deliver timely and accurate financial informationLead all financial functions for the program portfolio, including P&L ownership, cash and compliance management, FP&A, risk management, pricing, estimating, staffing, and strategic planningUnderstand program operations and assess their financial impactPartner with business and functional leaders, providing financial insights that guide decisionsDevelop clearly articulated short‑ and long‑term financial plans and advise on proposed contractsMeet service line P&L targets by anticipating and addressing financial impacts in a fast‑paced environmentDeliver accurate, timely financial analysis, reporting, and trend insightsInfluence leaders at all levels and maintain strong cross‑functional relationshipsLead development and ongoing assessment of strategic financial plansExercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and foster open communication and collaborationEnsure financial guidance aligns with GAAP, CAS, FAR, and company policies; identify and mitigate compliance risksCollaborate with Service Line Leads, Program Finance, FP&A, and the Assistant Controller on business plans, forecasts, and financial reviewsRecommend process and policy improvements, resolve complex financial issues, and oversee cash management, funding levels, billing, and collectionsSupport program Finance Managers to align with corporate objectivesWork with internal and external auditors to ensure complianceMotivate, develop, and hold finance team members accountablePerform personnel management duties, including hiring, coaching, evaluations, and succession planning.
