The Associate Director in Financial Due Diligence Analytics will lead client engagements, manage financial due diligence processes, and develop analytics solutions to support private equity and corporate clients in navigating complex transactions.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagementsâincluding carve-outs and divestituresâguiding clients through key transaction milestones from initial risk assessment through deal close and post-transaction supportOwn the development and review of quality of earnings (QoE) analyses, net working capital assessments, normalized EBITDA evaluations, and cash flow analyses that surface key value drivers, risks, and opportunities for clientsOversee the design and delivery of analytics solutionsâincluding data modeling, interactive dashboards, and visualization outputsâthat transform complex financial datasets into clear, executive-ready insightsDrive hypothesis-led, data-enabled approaches to uncover performance trends, margin dynamics, revenue quality, and balance sheet considerations that inform deal valuation and negotiation strategyIntegrate and apply leading analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, Excel, Snowflake) into diligence workflows to accelerate delivery speed and enhance depth of client insightsContribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standardsStay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processesOversee project administration, including work plans, staffing, timelines, budgeting, and billing across concurrent engagements, ensuring high-quality and on-time deliveryProactively monitor M&A market trends, evolving analytics technologies, and sector-specific developments, and articulate their potential impact to clients and internal teamsSupport business development efforts by helping to identify and pursue opportunities with private equity sponsors, corporate acquirers, and lendersâleveraging existing client relationships and contributing to proposals and pursuit materialsCultivate strong client relationships and serve as a trusted day-to-day advisor who understands client business needs, identifies opportunities for expanded service, and delivers high-quality workMentor and develop junior team members through coaching, performance feedback, and active involvement in their professional growth; contribute to recruiting and retaining top analytics talentSkills9+ years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction analytics, public accounting, or a related professional services environmentIn-depth knowledge of quality of earnings methodologies, net working capital analyses, EBITDA normalization, and financial statement evaluation in an M&A contextDemonstrated experience managing FDD engagements and workstreams for private equity and corporate clients, with increasing responsibility for team leadership and client relationshipsProficiency with analytics and data platforms such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, Excel, or Snowflake, and the ability to apply these tools within a transaction contextProven ability to independently manage project teams, resolve engagement-level issues, and deliver high-quality client deliverables under tight timelinesTrack record of building and developing strong client relationships, with early-stage experience contributing to business development and proposal effortsComfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovationContinuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standardsWillingness to travel up to 30%; travel varies based on client preferencesBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree a plusMinimum 8+ years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, or a related field within a public accounting or professional services environmentCPA, CA, or CFA certification preferredBenefitsComprehensive healthcare options, including medical, dental, and vision coverageFlexible spending accounts401(k) with company matchingGenerous parental and maternity leave policiesTechnology stipendsWellness reimbursement programsCompany OverviewCrossCountry Consulting is a provider of customized finance, accounting, human capital, operations and technology consulting services.
