This role involves providing claims advocacy and excellent customer service for multiple clients, handling standard claims issues, and assisting with complex appeals as needed.ResponsibilitiesAct as a liaison between insurance providers and clients regarding employee status and eligibility for coverageResolve standard claim issues and provide assistance with complex or non-standard claim appealsVerify completion and validity of claim formsReview company records to determine coverageCalculate amounts of claims and submit for paymentEnsure all client data is entered into CRM System (SalesForce) in a timely mannerSkillsKnowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision Plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts requiredExperience with Insurance Carrier self-service portals and call centers is a plusStrong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environmentVigorous attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneouslyFour-year college or university degree or equivalent experience1-3 years of benefit administration or claims processing requiredNew York State Life, Accident, and Health License a plus or willing to obtainBenefitsPTO & paid holidays401(k) with matchExclusive discount programsHealth & wellness programsCompany OverviewNFP, an Aon company, helps companies and individuals address today’s most significant Risk Capital and Human Capital challenges.
