[Remote] Associate Claims Examiner

They are seeking an Associate Claims Examiner to provide claims assistance, maintain reports, and communicate with customers regarding claims across various divisions.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Provide claims assistance as directed including sole responsibility for researching, recording, and reporting findings from DMF monthly runs across both life and retirement divisions
ā¢ Maintains individual life waiver of premium, individual disability income and various accelerated benefits reports and databases including monthly reviews and administration
ā¢ Prepares communication for initial death claims and follow-ups claims communications for our customers for at least two of the claims divisions
ā¢ Provides claims assistance by communicating with our customers both via written letters and verbal communication
ā¢ Acts as accuracy check for keying of ACH payments to customers and maintains both ingoing and outgoing communication coordination
ā¢ Prepares written communication for death claim notifications in at least two divisions
ā¢ Provides assistance with both written and verbal communication with our customers and serves as backup to claims examiners on telephones
ā¢ Perform peer reviews for staff, support Retain Asset Program and service as primary EFT Table N Entry coordinator
ā¢ Ensures compliance with internal and external regulations and maintains accurate and timely records including ensuring that customers are tracked and kept aware of their accounts
ā¢ Assist or service as back-up for monthly death master file review for IA, Deferred and Life products
Skills
ā¢ High school diploma or equivalent work experience, college degree a plus
ā¢ 1-3 years of cumulative, relevant experience
ā¢ Good written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Minimum Internet Speed: 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload, in alignment with the FCC's definition of 'broadband.'
ā¢ Internet Type: Fiber, Cable (e.g., Comcast, Spectrum), or DSL
ā¢ Not Permissible: Satellite (e.g., Starlink), cellular broadband (hotspot or otherwise), any other wireless technology, or wired dial-up
