The role involves building models, exploring data, and contributing to AI-powered features while working alongside senior engineers.ResponsibilitiesTranslate business problems into clear analytical approaches and solution designsWrangle datasets and engineer features to support ML modeling and AI workflowsBuild, evaluate, and iterate on ML models (forecasting, classification, optimization)Support the development of LLM-based workflows and emerging agentic AI patterns as these initiatives ramp upContribute to deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI and ML workflows in production, working closely with senior engineersStay curious about new AI development tools and frameworks, and bring them into our workflows where they fitSkillsMaster's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or a related field0–2 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering (internships and thesis-level projects count)Strong foundation in machine learning and applied statisticsProficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write production-grade codeFamiliarity with data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindsetExposure to agentic AI patterns a plus but more importantly, a genuine eagerness to learn and adopt new AI tools and techniques as the field evolvesCompany OverviewTauck is an operator of guided tours and cruises on rivers.
