[Remote] Associate, AI Scientist Intern

They are seeking an AI Scientist Intern to support human and automated scoring work during an 8-week summer internship, providing hands-on experience in research, AI, software development, and data analysis focused on educational assessments.

Responsibilities
• Support production software development in hand-scoring platform (OSCAR)
• Support production software development for automated scoring platforms
• Design and analyze key hand-scoring activities (e.g., AI generation of range finding samples)
• Design, model, and analyze AI initiatives around automated scoring such as gaming detection or training mechanisms

Skills
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, Statistics, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning/AI, or Computer Science
• Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
