The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting role involves analyzing and forecasting financial data to support strategic decisions, ensuring data integrity, and developing complex reserving models using advanced analytics and cloud technology.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisionsEstablish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligenceEvaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive positionEnsure data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of dataDevelop, build, and continuously improve complex reserving models leveraging cloud-based technology and advanced analyticsPlay a key role in the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of a cloud-based reserving modelLeverage tools such as Databricks and Power BI to build, automate, and optimize reporting processesConduct in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for improving reserve accuracy, translating findings into actionable enhancements to the reserve modelSkillsBachelor's DegreeAssociate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designationMember of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral formsStrong technology skillsDemonstrated ability to design, build, and continuously improve complex modelsDemonstrated self-starter and problem solverProficient with SAS/SQLExperience with Databricks or Power BIExperience developing and applying predictive modelsBenefitsThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
