[Remote] Associate Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Surfline Wavetrak, Inc. is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Associate Accountant. The role focuses primarily on full-cycle Accounts Payable and will evolve to include Accounts Receivable and revenue processes, ensuring accurate financial operations across multiple entities and currencies.ResponsibilitiesManage full cycle accounts payable, for multi-national entities from data entry to bank reconciliations:Vendor Bill Review & Processing: Accurately review and process vendor bills using available tools and technology, ensuring proper coding and workflow approvalsWeekly payment run preparation and review: utilizing various reports to pay vendors within set payment termsMonth End Close: Assist with close activities including accruals, account reviews, and reconciliationsBank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations; identify and resolve any discrepancies in bank transactionsStatement Review & Vendor Follow-Ups: Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or issuesTravel & Expense System Management: Oversee the corporate credit card program, including monitoring expenses, follow-ups on outstanding items, and ensuring compliance with company policiesUtilization of Accounting Tools: such as Excel, NetSuite, Ramp, and various bank providersAssist with Tax Compliance:1099’sGrowth Areas 6+ months:Develop into full cycle accounts receivable: sales orders, invoices, cash applications, customer follow-upsInventory: track in-transit, installations, reconciliationsAdhoc projects as requiredSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1-3 years of accounting or relevant internship experienceStrong MS Office skills, particularly ExcelStrong attention to detail, organization, and reliabilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsCuriosity and eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting fieldA “get it done” attitudeExperience with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com, Navan, Ramp, Stripe, Paypal)Experience or knowledge in handling multi-entity and multi-currency transactionsExposure to month end close practicesPassion for ocean-going activitiesBenefits100% company-paid healthcare (medical, dental, and vision)A 401(k) plan and match'Use What You Need' PTOAnd more.Company OverviewSince 1985, SurflineWavetrak, Inc. has connected people with the ocean.
