[Remote] Architectural Services Consultant - Massachusetts, Connecticut or Rhode Island

The Architectural Services Consultant will focus on promoting Allegion's architectural consulting services, managing project specifications, and developing relationships with industry professionals to drive demand for Allegion's products.ResponsibilitiesProactively develop relationships with industry design professionals to increase demand for Allegion’s brands and architectural servicesIdentify target accounts; create and manage account objectives to drive both short term and long term growthLead architectural education including AIA Lunch and Learns, and industry networking eventsProcure specification writing opportunities from targeted architectural accounts. This includes leading a successful project review meeting, gathering all relevant documents and project information, and defining a scope of work that is mutually agreed uponManage each procured specification project through its lifecycle, regularly updating the project schedule and Allegion stakeholdersProactively identify and track new project opportunities by utilizing lead databases and leveraging industry relationshipsPursue assigned construction leads in a timely manner; request RFAs (requests for approval) on projects where Allegion is currently not an approved manufacturerUtilize relationships and industry expertise to initiate architectural consulting agreements with firms; Architectural Consulting Agreements (ACAs) formalize the partnership between the Allegion Consultant and architect, providing earlier coordination, agreed upon scope of work and add true value to the architect and construction processCollaborate closely with the broader sales team on specification projects and during monthly market and project-tracking review meetingsProvide mentorship and development to peer group to support the growth of the teamMaintain excellent industry/competitor product knowledge by reviewing and understanding market data of competitive activityMaintain an accurate sales pipeline by utilizing our CRM to enter call reports, to track assigned projects and move them through the sales process, and to update critical customer and project detailsAdapt to changes in marketplace and pursue continuing education related to both the construction industry and needs of different industry influencers; participates in local industry events such as AIA, CSI, and DHIMaintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure complianceSkillsHigh School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred5+ years business development or technical experienceArchitectural, construction, door hardware, experience strongly preferredAbility to develop basic understanding of security systems integrations and electronic componentsAbility to effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines and deliverablesExcellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skillsProficient with business tools such as Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and CRMDemonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for actionStrong customer service focusAbility to travel up to 30% within the territory – territory includes Wester Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode IslandQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
