The Applications Support Analyst performs routine healthcare information system and application support, resolving incidents and service requests while assisting in training documentation and application workflow improvements.ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine healthcare information system and application supportUtilizes analytical skills and experiences to investigate or escalate support issuesResolves incidents and services requestsAssists in the creation and maintenance of training documentationIncorporates appropriate presentation techniques to support and/or lead training sessionsResearches, analyzes and makes recommendations for application workflow improvementsCreates and analyzes reports created using multiple reporting mechanismsGathers, analyzes, designs, develops, modifies, tests, implements, evaluates, and maintains information technologies to support business needsPromotes and participates in a team approachWorks with other departments and outside vendorsComfortable managing change with excellent problem solving skillsTime management and prioritization of tasks on a daily basisProficient verbal and written communication requiredPositive attitude and excellent customer service skills are expectedAbility to communicate diplomatically across integrated teamsGood interpersonal skillsProficiency with software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software requiredKnowledge of multimedia tools, creation of training support documentation, software development, or web-based applications preferredWhen applicable, basic knowledge and support of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) philosophies is helpfulWhen applicable, possess knowledge in state and federal laws, rules and regulationsSkillsBachelor's Degree requiredProficient verbal and written communication requiredPositive attitude and excellent customer service skills are expectedAbility to communicate diplomatically across integrated teamsGood interpersonal skillsProficiency with software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software requiredIf applicable, Information Technology (IT) certification must be obtained within six months of date of hire and within three attempts of certification testingExperience working in EPIC Tapestry highly preferredArea of focus in Information Technology, Healthcare, Business, or related field preferredOne year of relevant experience in application support, hardware or interface preferredKnowledge of multimedia tools, creation of training support documentation, software development, or web-based applications preferredWhen applicable, basic knowledge and support of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) philosophies is helpfulWhen applicable, possess knowledge in state and federal laws, rules and regulationsCompany OverviewSanford is a healthcare company providing research, education and clinical care.
