[Remote] Application Engineer

HyperStrong is focused on the Americas energy storage business, and they are seeking an Energy Storage Application Engineer to deliver pre-sale technical solutions and ensure a smooth transition to project execution. The role involves proposal development, product workshops, system configuration design, and gathering customer feedback to support product improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical lead from early engagement to NTP, including RFP analysis, solution design, and customer interfacingDevelop technical proposals and drawings based on customer specifications and system requirementsInterpret and ensure adherence to UL and Unites States electrical and safety regulations (including NFPA, IEEE, & IEC where applicable)Participate in product compliance, gap analysis, and technical risk reviews during the sales processGather feedback from customers, partners, and regional EPCs to inform solution development and roadmap prioritizationCoordinate with Product and R&D teams to support feature enhancement, certifications, and cost-performance optimizationProvide guidance on system integration topics, including layout, controls, communication, thermal, and fire protectionParticipate in marketing and product positioning efforts, including technical presentations at trade shows across the USSkills3+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry (ESS or EPC preferred), with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on energy storage (ESS) experience in technical roles such as application, system, or project engineeringSolid understanding of battery systems, PCS, thermal/fire protection, and system layoutFamiliarity with relevant standards (NFPA, UL, IEEE etc.)Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar toolsStrong communication, documentation, and customer-facing presentation skillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirementsAbility to travel internationally, including Canada, is requiredBilingual preferred (English and Mandarin)Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferredCompany OverviewBeijing HyperStrong Technology Co., Ltd.
