[Remote] APM Technical Delivery (Project Manager II)

They are seeking a Technical Delivery Assistant Project Manager to support the management and integration of consultant teams and project stakeholders for major civil infrastructure projects, particularly in relation to the California High-Speed Rail Authority.ResponsibilitiesSupport Technical Delivery leadership in the development and implementation of project delivery strategies for major civil infrastructure projects across the high-speed rail program, including planning, phasing, procurement support, and preconstruction coordinationAssist in managing and coordinating consultant teams responsible for preliminary engineering, environmental documentation, technical studies, station development, and infrastructure delivery activitiesSupport integration and coordination across engineering, environmental, right-of-way, construction, rail systems, operations, and program controls functions to ensure alignment of project objectives, schedules, delivery milestones, and implementation strategiesFacilitate coordination between Authority offices, branches, consultants, local agencies, railroad stakeholders, utility owners, and third-party stakeholders to support timely project development and decision-makingSupport development and maintenance of project delivery plans, technical risk registers, issue resolution logs, interface management processes, and project implementation strategiesAssist in evaluating project delivery alternatives, procurement approaches, schedule constraints, and implementation strategies to support program objectivesReview technical documents, engineering deliverables, project schedules, procurement packages, and consultant work products for consistency with Authority requirements and project delivery objectivesSupport executive briefings, stakeholder coordination efforts, technical workshops, interagency coordination meetings, and project reporting activities associated with civil infrastructure and station delivery projectsCoordinate with other Engineering Services sections, including Civil Infrastructure Engineering, Rail Systems Engineering, and Network Integration & Assurance, as well as the Planning & Sustainability and Environmental Services branchesCoordinate with additional Authority offices including Program & System Safety and Security, Rail Operations, Statewide Regional/Real Property, Construction, Project Controls, and ContractingOther related duties may be assignedSkillsAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline and ten (10) years of work-related experienceAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholdersJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerWork experience supporting the planning, design, development, or delivery of major infrastructure or transportation projects of similar size, scope, and complexityExperience supporting multi-disciplinary infrastructure programs involving engineering, environmental, procurement, and construction coordination activitiesExperience working with public agencies, consultant teams, and complex stakeholder environments on transportation or rail infrastructure projectsDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate across multiple technical disciplines, and support resolution of complex project delivery challengesStrong organizational, communication, and technical coordination skills with the ability to support fast-paced program delivery objectivesAbility to travel up to 10%Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license in the State of CaliforniaExperience supporting high-speed rail, passenger rail, transit, or other major linear infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with alternative delivery methods, including Progressive Design-Build and Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC)Experience with California environmental and regulatory processes associated with major infrastructure projectsExperience supporting project delivery within large public-sector capital programsBenefitsMedical, dental and vision plansEAPDisability coverageLife insuranceAD&DVoluntary benefit plans401(k) with a company matchPaid time off (personal, bereavement, sick, holidays) for salaried employeesPaid sick leave per state requirement for craft employeesParental leaveTraining and development coursesCompany OverviewFluor Corporation is a global engineering, procurement and construction company.
