KIS Solutions is seeking a Senior Android Engineer with strong technical leadership skills to drive architecture decisions and guide engineering practices. In this role, you will contribute hands-on to development while mentoring engineers and shaping the direction of the Android ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesLead the technical design and architecture of Android applications, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performanceAct as a technical reference and mentor, supporting and guiding other engineers across teamsDevelop high-quality features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern design principlesMake architectural decisions that emphasize scalability, testability, and performanceWork with REST and GraphQL APIs and collaborate closely with backend teamsWrite clean, modular, testable code using SOLID principles and dependency injectionMaintain and expand automated test coverage (unit, UI)Design with security in mind: safe data handling, encryption, secure storage, and robust networkingEnsure strong observability—add metrics, logging, tracing, analytics, and performance instrumentationOptimize performance using Android Studio Profiler and related toolingContribute to GitHub workflows, CI/CD automation, and trunk-based developmentUse AI tools to enhance testing, documentation, refactoring, and developer efficiencyCollaborate with multiple mobile and backend teams in a large, complex engineering environmentMentor peers and support engineering excellence across teamsSkills5+ years of professional Android engineering experienceExpertise with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI)Strong understanding of SOLID principles, DI, and writing testable, maintainable codeExperience with unit testing, test frameworks, and maintaining/expanding code coverageExperience integrating with REST and GraphQL servicesBackground working on large, complex Android applications with multiple native engineering teamsExperience working with modularized Android architectures in large scale applicationsExperience designing robust data layers, including caching strategies, offline support and synchronizationExperience implementing progressive rollouts, remote configuration and feature flagsExperience designing for security, observability, and performanceProficiency with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and trunk-based workflowsExperience using AI-augmented engineering tools to improve development velocity and qualityExperience with event-driven or real-time architecturesBackend or full-stack exposure, or ability to influence API contractsExperience with design systems, shared component libraries, analytics, and experimentationCompany OverviewKIS Solutions offers web service development, data migration & analysis, and customer support automation.
