They are seeking a highly motivated Analytics Intern to support healthcare analytics, health policy research, technical communications, and client-facing presentation development. This role will involve assisting with data analysis, client presentations, and research on healthcare systems and emerging industry trends.ResponsibilitiesSupport development of client presentations, executive summaries, technical reports, and proposal materialsDraft and edit professional content in both English and ChineseTranslate complex healthcare, economic, actuarial, and policy concepts into language that is understandable to non-technical audiencesAssist with PowerPoint development, data visualization, and presentation designSummarize research findings and communicate key implications for business, policy, and healthcare stakeholdersConduct research on healthcare systems, health policy developments, and emerging industry trends in the United States, China, and other major economiesAnalyze datasets, metadata, and healthcare-related information to identify patterns, trends, and insightsParticipate in virtual team meetings and occasional in-person meetings in the Boston areaSkillsCurrently enrolled in a graduate-level program, preferably an MPH or MPP candidateNative or near-native proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), with excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong technical writing and presentation development skillsDemonstrated ability to communicate abstract, specialized, or technical concepts in a clear and approachable mannerStrong analytical and critical thinking abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and ExcelAbility to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple prioritiesIndividual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the futureFamiliarity with healthcare policy, healthcare financing, insurance, population health, health economics, or related fieldsExperience conducting literature reviews, policy research, or data analysisKnowledge of major health policy topics and healthcare reform initiatives in the United States, China, Europe, or other major economiesExperience with data visualization, metadata analysis, or healthcare datasetsFamiliarity with healthcare terminology, reimbursement systems, or health services researchBenefitsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) – Confidential support for personal and work-related challenges.401(k) Plan – When an employee reaches 1,000 hours worked within 12 consecutive months, they become eligible for a 401(k) plan that includes a company matching program and profit-sharing contributions.Paid Time Off (PTO) – Begins accruing on the first day of work; Interns, Temporary, and Seasonal Employees will earn PTO each pay period, based on 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.Transportation – Pre-tax savings for eligible transit and parking expenses.Company OverviewMilliman is a risk management, benefits, and technology firm that offers insurance and retirement services.
