[Remote] Analytics Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dwyer Instruments is seeking a Junior Analytics Engineer to join their Business Intelligence (BI) team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to learn and work with data, providing hands-on experience in building data pipelines and supporting analytics.ResponsibilitiesAssist in building and maintaining data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, OneLake)Support data ingestion from various sources into analytics-ready datasetsWrite and optimize basic to intermediate SQL queries and PySparkHelp prepare data for Power BI reports and dashboardsPerform data validation and quality checksTroubleshoot simple data pipeline and data issues with guidanceDocument data processes and learn platform best practicesDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reportsTranslate business requirements into data models and visualizationsWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract and validate dataCreate and maintain Power BI data models, DAX measures, and calculated fieldsPerform data validation and quality checks to ensure report accuracySkills0–2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related technical role (internships, academic projects, or bootcamp experience are welcome)Basic understanding of SQL and relational databasesFamiliarity with data concepts (ETL, data pipelines, data models)Understanding of data modeling conceptsFamiliarity with DAX fundamentals (measures, calculated columns)Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new tools and technologiesAbility to adapt and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong team player with analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of SQL queries, Python or Py-SparkExposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)Academic or project experience with BI or analytics and AIUnderstanding of data warehousing fundamentalsPower BI certification (PL-300) or working toward itCompany OverviewDwyer Instruments is an industrial automation company that offers gas sensing and air velocity instrumentations and controls.
