[Remote] Analyst, Music Label Royalty Administration
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (GRF) is seeking an Analyst for their Music Label Royalty Administration team, focused on handling complex royalty accounting for independent record labels and music clients. The Analyst will be responsible for preparing royalty statements, analyzing sales data, and managing various accounting tasks related to royalties.ResponsibilitiesPrepare mechanical, artist, producer or net profit royalty accountings for independent label clientsSummarize artist and third-party agreements and apply key provisions to the preparation of royalty statementsAnalyze sales data files from various distribution sourcesSet up product metadata, artist royalty rates and mechanical license in royalty accounting softwarePrepare mechanical royalties which includes confirming publishing splits and obtaining mechanical licensesOther projects and duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role is requiredWorking knowledge of recording agreements, royalty calculations, and contract reviewWorking knowledge of royalty accounting software (RoyaltyShare, Curve, Record Maestro, or SR1)Advanced knowledge of Excel required, including and not limited to pivot table creationAbility to work independently with strong time management skills to prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsOver 2 years of experience in a similar role along with royalty software experience is highly preferredBenefitsAnnual bonusComprehensive benefits packageCompany OverviewFocus Financial Partners is a partnership of fiduciary wealth management firms that offers support and access to capital for growth.
