The role involves building applied AI systems, designing intelligent solutions, and leveraging modern technologies to drive automation and efficiency in legal operations.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy AI-driven features and intelligent agents for real-world use casesIntegrate GenAI and LLMs into applications via APIs and microservicesCollaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to transition prototypes into scalable production systemsDrive hyper automation initiatives by modernizing legacy automations using MCP servers and agentic frameworksEngineer robust, reusable components and services with a focus on performance, scalability, and cost-efficiencyApply prompt engineering techniques to optimize model interactions and outcomesEnsure compliance, security, and ethical standards in all AI developmentDocument processes, architectures, and best practices in Epiq’s internal knowledge baseIntegrate external products with Epiq’s proprietary solutionsStay current with AI advancements and recommend tools, frameworks, and methodologiesSkills3+ years of experience in AI/ML/NLP/LLMs or related fieldsHands-on experience with GenAI, model training, evaluation, and hyperparameter tuningExperience with MCP servers, agentic frameworks, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Strong programming skills in Python, C# (.NET/ASP.NET), Java, or similar languagesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and their AI servicesExperience with API development, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of tools like Docker, Kubernetes, MLFlow, and Azure DevOpsSolid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithmsExcellent communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)BenefitsMay be eligible for an annual bonusEnterprise‑wide learning and mobilityFlexibility that’s recognized externallyCompany OverviewEpiq Systems provides legal process outsourcing (LPO) services in the United States and internationally.
