[Remote] AI Security Engineer / Startup
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is a life insurance tech startup building a fully digital platform powered by AI tools. They are hiring an AI Security Engineer to evaluate vendor security models, build controls, and conduct red team responsibilities to ensure the security of their AI systems.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Evaluate and research vendor security models
ā¢ Act as the AI checkpoint
ā¢ Build controls in addition to Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and MCP servers
ā¢ Determine what guardrails need to look like
ā¢ Conduct active red team responsibilities
ā¢ Test whether agents can be manipulated
Skills
ā¢ 8+ years of experience in security engineering
ā¢ Real experience securing LLM or agentic AI systems in production, not just advising on them
ā¢ Hands on AI red teaming - prompt injection, model manipulation, data exfiltration vectors, etc
ā¢ Experience building guardrails around AI systems
ā¢ MCP security knowledge
ā¢ Python, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
