Remote AI Research Scientist - NLP

Our client, a leader at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence innovation, is seeking an exceptional Remote AI Research Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join their pioneering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking AI advancements from anywhere. This role involves pushing the boundaries of machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling applied to language understanding, generation, and translation. The ideal candidate possesses a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field, with a strong publication record in NLP and a deep theoretical understanding coupled with practical implementation skills. Responsibilities include:
Conduct advanced research in Natural Language Processing (NLP). Design, develop, and implement novel NLP models and algorithms. Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to solve complex language-related problems. Process and analyze large-scale text datasets. Evaluate model performance and iterate on designs for improvement. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, ML, and NLP research. Collaborate with engineers to deploy research prototypes into production systems. Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals. Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the team's knowledge base. Develop and maintain efficient, scalable code for research experiments. Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, or a related field with a focus on NLP. Proven track record of research and publications in top NLP/ML conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML). Strong theoretical foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python. Experience with NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy). Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex research concepts. Ability to work independently and drive research projects forward in a remote setting. Experience with transformer architectures and their applications.
