This role combines business analysis with advanced analytics and emerging technologies to enable predictive and prescriptive decision-making across the organization.ResponsibilitiesUtilize Epic EHR data sources (Clarity, Caboodle, and related reporting environments) to build scalable analytics and AI-ready datasets that support clinical quality improvement, operational performance, and population health initiativesPartner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and align analytics solutions with business objectivesPerform advanced analytics, including statistical modeling, forecasting, and AI-driven insightsLeverage Databricks AI and Databricks Agent to automate workflows and enhance data-driven decision-makingDevelop Power BI dashboards and visualizations that communicate complex insights clearly and effectivelyCollaborate with engineering and data platform teams to ensure proper data access and governanceIdentify opportunities to apply emerging technologies for improved business outcomesSkillsEducation: Degree(s) in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, technology or related field experienceExperience: Five (5) years of relevant technical or business work experience or knowledge in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical field, with a proven ability to deliver insights that influence strategic decision-makingExperience analyzing Epic healthcare data models and reporting environments, with the ability to translate clinical and operational data into actionable insightsStrong experience in data analytics and business analysisHands-on expertise with Databricks, including Databricks Agent and AI/ML capabilitiesProficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and advanced analyticsAbility to translate business needs into technical solutions and actionable insightsKnowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience applying them to real-world problems will be requiredExperience with cloud-based Azure data platformFamiliarity with enterprise data governance and security practicesExcellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teamsBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time offTuition supportMatched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay periodCompany OverviewMercy is a U.S. health system that provides heart, children’s, and orthopedic care services.
