The AI Fraud and Risk Automation Analyst will work with the eCommerce team to develop tools, leverage AI analytics, and build expertise to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.ResponsibilitiesParse and analyze large volumes of transactional and behavioral data to identify indicators of fraud and riskDevelop and maintain a rules-based risk engine that adapts to emerging threat patternsConduct ad hoc investigations on suspicious activity and emerging risk scenariosServe as the subject matter expert on fraud patterns, adversarial tactics, and risk mitigation strategiesDesign, build, and maintain Snowflake tables, views, and data pipelines to support risk detection workflowsWrite SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze risk-related data at scaleCreate and optimize data models that enable real-time and batch risk scoringDevelop Python scripts to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting processesLeverage AI tools (including LLMs) to enhance fraud detection capabilities and generate risk insightsCollaborate with data science teams to implement machine learning models for anomaly detectionUse AI-assisted analysis to identify patterns in unstructured data (emails, user behavior, device fingerprints)Continuously refine AI-powered detection rules based on feedback and emerging threatsEffectively communicate risk findings to technical and non-technical audiences across the organizationDocument risk assessments, investigation findings, and rule changes in a clear, actionable mannerWork collaboratively with eCommerce, Sales, Legal, and Security teams to improve CrowdStrike's overall risk postureServe as the risk liaison for the eCommerce team, providing expertise and guidance on fraud preventionMonitor the risk engine and Slack channels for real-time alerts and triage incidents as they unfoldDiagnose and respond to risk engine failures, false positives, and system anomaliesReview daily risk metrics and dashboards to identify trends and areas for improvementProactively identify vulnerabilities in the customer onboarding process and recommend mitigationsSkills6+ months of experience managing a risk engine or fraud detection system in an eCommerce or SaaS environment with a demonstrable track record of using rules-based approaches to prevent unauthorized accessStrong SQL skills with experience querying and managing data in Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousesProficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and scriptingCybersecurity knowledge: Strong understanding of adversarial tactics, fraud vectors, and threat intelligenceAnalytical mindset: Ability to think like an adversary, identify patterns in complex datasets, and make data-driven decisions under pressureCommunication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendationsSelf-starter mentality: Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience with AI/LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for data analysis, threat intelligence, or automationFamiliarity with machine learning concepts and anomaly detection techniquesExperience building and maintaining Snowflake data models, including tables, views, and stored proceduresKnowledge of eCommerce fraud vectors such as account takeover, payment fraud, trial abuse, and bot attacksUnderstanding of the SaaS business model and cloud-based platform salesExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or similar)Familiarity with IPQS, Stripe, or other fraud detection APIsBackground in threat intelligence, incident response, or SOC operationsBenefitsMarket leader in compensation and equity awardsComprehensive physical and mental wellness programsCompetitive vacation and holidays for rechargePaid parental and adoption leavesProfessional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or roleEmployee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connectionsVibrant office culture with world class amenitiesGreat Place to Work Certified™ across the globeCompany OverviewCrowdStrike is a cybersecurity technology firm that provides cloud-delivered protection for cloud workloads, identity, and data.
