[Remote] AI Database Engineer (Part-Time Contract)

Relate Search has partnered with an HVAC distribution and e-commerce organization in their search for an AI Database Engineer to support a critical product data and automation initiative. This consultant will be responsible for designing a scalable product information database and developing AI-driven solutions to automate the collection, matching, and enrichment of HVAC product data from leading OEM manufacturers.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop a normalized relational database structure to support HVAC product information, attributes, descriptions, and manufacturer relationshipsCreate and manage interconnected database tables, entity relationships, primary keys, and foreign key structures that support scalable product data managementArchitect and implement an Agentic AI solution capable of collecting product information from OEM websitesDevelop automated processes to extract, transform, validate, and populate product specifications and attribute data into the databaseBuild matching and reconciliation logic between internal ERP product records and OEM product informationEstablish data models that support advanced product search, filtering, and e-commerce functionalityRecommend best practices for product information management (PIM), data governance, and ongoing data maintenanceSkillsExperience designing and implementing relational databases and normalized data modelsStrong understanding of database architecture, entity relationships, indexing, and data optimizationHands-on experience with AI-enabled automation, intelligent agents, web scraping, data extraction, or machine learning-powered workflowsProficiency with modern database technologiesExperience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutionsAbility to independently define project scope, architecture, and implementation plans in an ambiguous environmentExperience within the HVAC manufacturing or distribution industriesBenefitsFlexible remote engagement with location open to candidates anywhere in the United States.Opportunity to architect and deliver a high-impact AI and data initiative from the ground up.Flexible scheduling with the ability to complete work around existing professional commitments.Company OverviewDice is the go-to career marketplace for tech professionals.
