[Remote] AI Compliance and Systems Engineer

They are seeking a technical AI Compliance & Systems Engineer to operationalize AI governance within enterprise systems, ensuring compliance and integration of AI tools across various platforms.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement technical controls and guardrails for enterprise AI usage, including LLM-based tools (e.g., models, custom applications, APIs, plugins)Build or support secure pipelines and integrations for AI tools, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulationsPartner with engineering and IT to embed governance directly into AI workflows, APIs, and system architecturesLead technical due diligence of third-party AI tools, LLM providers, plugins, and embedded AI features in software productsAssess data flows, model behavior, security posture, and risk exposure of AI-enabled systemsDevelop and maintain evaluation frameworks for approving or rejecting AI technologiesTranslate ISO/IEC 42001 controls into practical technical implementationsWork alongside the AI management system lead to ensure controls are enforceable within systems, not just documentedHelp integrate AI governance into existing security architecture (ISO 27001) and enterprise toolingServe as a technical advisor to product, engineering, and business teams deploying AI capabilitiesDefine approved patterns, architectures, and usage models for AI toolsHelp teams move quickly while staying within risk tolerance and compliance boundariesImplement mechanisms for monitoring AI system usage, outputs, and risk signalsSupport AI Impact Assessments (AIIAs) with technical validation of system design and behaviorContribute to incident response and investigation related to AI systemsTranslate regulatory requirements (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO standards) into technical specifications and controlsPartner with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment between policy and implementationSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field5–10 years of experience in AI/ML systems, security engineering, or technical risk/compliance rolesHands-on experience with: LLMs and AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), API integrations and data pipelines, Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Strong understanding of: AI/ML system architecture and lifecycle, Data security, access controls, and secure design principlesAbility to evaluate technical implementations of AI, not just conceptual modelsExperience integrating or governing ChatGPT Enterprise or similar platformsFamiliarity with AI risk frameworks (ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 23894)Background in application security, DevSecOps, or ML engineeringExperience assessing third-party software and vendor riskCertifications in cloud, security, or AI (e.g., AWS, Azure AI, CISSP)BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance is provided at no cost for full-time employees upon date of hire.Low co-pay pharmacy benefit and affordable family coverage plan is available.Short and Long Term Disability is fully paid by Minitab.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Provides guidance for personal issue and information on other Work Life Matters.Group Term Life Insurance is provided at no cost for full-time employees at three times employee base salary.Minitab provides eligible employees the opportunity to purchase Voluntary Life Insurance for themselves and eligible dependents at affordable rates.A 401k Retirement Plan with T.
