The AI Automation Engineer & Enablement Lead is responsible for leading internal AI enablement and automation initiatives, developing scalable AI-powered systems, and guiding teams in adopting AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, implement, and maintain scalable AI-powered automations, integrations, and workflow solutions that support operational efficiency across the organizationDevelop and support automation solutions using technologies such as Python, SQL, APIs, orchestration tools, and AI platformsEvaluate and recommend AI and automation tools, platforms, and integrations based on scalability, maintainability, business value, security, and operational impactLead the ongoing administration, optimization, and support of BELAYβs internal AI and automation tools and systemsPartner with cross-functional teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and develop scalable automation and AI-driven solutionsTranslate business needs into technical requirements and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDevelop and maintain a roadmap for AI and automation initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and operational goalsEstablish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and business impact of automation and AI initiativesDesign and deliver training programs, workshops, documentation, and learning resources that build AI fluency and responsible AI usage across the organizationProvide guidance and support to teams adopting AI-enabled tools and workflows, promoting scalable and sustainable practicesMonitor emerging AI and automation technologies, trends, and best practices and proactively bring forward recommendations to leadershipBuild and maintain centralized documentation, playbooks, workflow guides, prompts, and best practices related to AI and automation toolsSupport vendor evaluations, implementation efforts, and ongoing management of AI-related tools and servicesCollaborate with Operations, IT, and business leaders to support adoption, change management, and operational integration of AI solutionsMaintain technical documentation, SOPs, and workflow standards related to automation and AI initiativesRepresent BELAY on cross-functional initiatives and external AI- or automation-related conversations as neededSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience in software development, automation engineering, systems integration, or related technical fieldsDemonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining workflow automations, integrations, or scalable technical solutions in production environmentsExperience with Python, SQL, APIs, workflow orchestration tools, automation platforms, and AI-enabled technologiesExperience building or supporting AI-powered automations, integrations, or workflow solutions requiredStrong understanding of automation, systems design, workflow optimization, and AI implementation best practicesAbility to evaluate technical solutions and communicate tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and process improvement skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, actionable languageAbility to manage multiple priorities, projects, and cross-functional initiatives simultaneouslyExperience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholdersExperience developing training materials, workshops, or enablement programs for users with varying levels of technical experienceExperience with tools such as Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, Asana, Zoom, or similar business platformsFamiliarity with AI APIs, orchestration frameworks, workflow automation platforms, and business intelligence toolsExperience with vendor evaluation, implementation support, and change management initiativesBenefitsFull-time remote workOccasional travel for some rolesFull-time, exempt W-2 employeeAward-winning company cultureReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the roleCompany OverviewBELAY is a Virtual Staffing Solutions company that offers virtual bookkeeping, administrative assistance, social media strategy service.
