They are seeking an AI Applications Engineer to build AI-powered tools, owning the architecture and implementation of projects while collaborating with various stakeholders to meet client needs.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and build AI-powered tools end-to-end: from the AI workflows through to the user experienceAct as a tech lead on client engagements, drawing support from additional engineering contractors in our roster as needed to make a product successfulBuild and maintain retrieval pipelines, agent architectures, and model integrations tuned to the specific client domainDesign evaluation criteria and implement evaluations for your workflowsAssess data sources for quality and usability - satellite imagery, sensor feeds, government datasets - and process them into usable formatsImplement test suites and documentation that ensure long-term reliability and smooth handoffs to clientsWork closely with UI design, project managers, and clients to define requirements and deliver iterativelyWork with platform engineers to bring your code to productionSkillsYou've built AI-powered applications end-to-end and have opinions about how to do it wellYou're comfortable owning a client engagement technically: making architecture calls, managing scope, and knowing when to ask for helpYou can move between AI workflows and application codeCan evaluate the simplest model or ML approach to achieve the goalYou've worked with messy, real-world data and know how to assess it before building on top of itYou design evaluations as part of the work, not as an afterthoughtYou can work with designers and non-technical clients and translate what they need into what you buildWant your work to do something that mattersCompany OverviewOde is a mission-driven AI and creative technology company built to tackle complexity.
