[Remote] Aeronautical Data Analyst

The Aeronautical Data Analyst role involves analyzing aeronautical source material to convert it into validated data for charting and digital products, while collaborating with a remote team and ensuring data integrity across multiple domains.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze aeronautical sources (electronic documents, digital maps, imagery, authority publications) to determine change impact to Jeppesen datasets/productsUpdate Jeppesen production databases/systems based on change impact and defined capture rulesExecute prescribed QC/QA checks using approved methods and process documentationCollaborate with SMEs to draft and route clarification queries to regulatory/aeronautical authoritiesWork effectively in modern, evolving production software and processesCollaborate daily with a remote team and global peers supporting worldwide coverageInterpret procedure source changes; ensure depiction-/encoding-critical attributes are captured consistentlyMaintain navaids/waypoints/routes; ensure identifier/coordinate/relationship integrity and downstream usabilityCapture lateral/vertical/time attributes; manage overlaps/hierarchy logic per internal data rulesCapture obstacle attributes and changes; validate outliers and ensure downstream portrayal rules can be appliedSkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to apply detailed guidance/technical specifications to execute delegated tasks; strong attention to detailComputer proficiency (Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools)Strong communication, personal accountability, and comfort working in a remote environmentAviation domain familiarity (pilot, airport ops, navigation systems, aviation enthusiast)Degree or coursework in aviation/geography/cartography (or equivalent experience)1+ years of relevant production/data experience (e.g., aeronautical data, charting, GIS, technical editing)Experience with technical writing and/or automation-assisted data production (validation rules, scripting, SQL) (if applicable)Pilot or aviation enthusiastComfort with effective dates / AIRAC-style cycles, versioning, and change traceability (who/what/when/why)Ability to distinguish data issues vs. source ambiguity, and to escalate with a clean problem statement + evidenceBenefitsMedical, dental, vision insurance with Employer paid health premiumsOpen PTO Policy401(k) with up to 10% company matching and immediate vesting12 Weeks Paid Parent LeaveFlight Training RewardsCompany OverviewForeFlight was founded in 2007 by aviation entrepreneurs who set out to build elegant, high-performing flight planning and flight bag apps for pilots.
