They are seeking a Business Development Manager-Engineering Sales to drive strategic growth initiatives and expand client relationships throughout North and Central Florida.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, architects, contractors, owners, developers, and government agenciesIdentify, pursue, and secure new project opportunitiesCollaborate with firm leadership and technical teams to position H2Engineering for upcoming opportunitiesLead client outreach efforts, including meetings, presentations, networking events and industry functionsMaintain and expand relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target marketsTrack market trends, funding initiatives, capital improvement programs, and emerging opportunitiesCoordinate with the marketing team on proposals, qualifications packages, interviews, and promotional materialsMaintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and business development activitiesTravel regularly throughout our service region to support client engagement and relationship-building effortsServe as a trusted advisor to clients and help identify opportunities for cross-selling the firm's servicesSkillsMinimum 10 years of business development, sales, client relations, or account management experience within the engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services industryDemonstrated success generating new business opportunities and growing client relationshipsStrong understanding of the engineering consulting industry and project delivery processExcellent verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to communicate effectively with executives, project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and public officialsExperience developing strategic pursuit plans and managing long-term sales cyclesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneouslySelf-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environmentEstablished network of contacts within North Florida's public and private development markets preferredBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferredExperience selling engineering, architecture, construction, or technical consulting servicesExisting relationships with educational, municipal, state, healthcare, and commercial clients throughout North and Central FloridaUnderstanding of public procurement processes, RFQs, RFPs, and consultant selection proceduresCompany OverviewH2engineering, Inc. provides expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, and telecommunications design.
