[Remote] Actuarial Analyst

They are seeking Actuarial Analysts to assist in financial analysis, pricing, and risk assessment to estimate outcomes for various actuarial teams. Responsibilities Develop and analyze complex financial and statistical reports related to quality, cost and effectiveness of healthcare services Prepare budget and forecast and analyze financial results related to expectations Assist in financial analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate outcomes Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes Assist with developing probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information Analyze and evaluate required premium rates Assess cash reserves and liabilities enable payment of future benefits Assist with determining the equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits Participate in merger and acquisition analysis Additional responsibilities may vary per actuarial team Skills Bachelor's degree One passed SOA exam Demonstrated progress toward ASA designation 0-3 years of actuarial experience Experience with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, indexing, data analysis) and VBA Experience with SQL, SAS, Python, or R programming Central Time (CST) remote schedule is preferred for Medicaid Projections Team Preferably seeking candidates based in California who can work a Pacific Time (PST) remote schedule for Marketplace ACA Pricing Team Benefits Health insurance 401K Stock purchase plans Tuition reimbursement Paid time off plus holidays Flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules Company Overview Centene Corporation is a leading healthcare enterprise committed to helping people live healthier lives.
