They are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and resolve outstanding accounts receivable, follow up on unpaid claims, and collaborate with insurance companies to ensure timely collections.ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze client accounts to identify outstanding balancesInitiate contact with insurance companies and clients to resolve unpaid claimsUtilize various communication methods, including phone calls, emails, and letters to follow up on outstanding balancesInvestigate and resolve insurance claim denials and discrepanciesRequire resubmission of corrected claims as needed and ensure proper documentationCollaborate with billing to address any billing errors or issuesMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection’s activities and communicationsUpdate clients account information as necessaryKeep a list of accounts that require management assistance and bring this up during weekly check insProvide exceptional customer service to clients and their families regarding billing and payment inquiriesAddress and resolve clients concerns and questions in a professional and empathetic mannerAdhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding client confidentiality and billing practicesStay informed about changes in insurance policies and regulations effecting collectionsSkillsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals in a courteous and professional mannerAssociate's or Bachelor's degree preferredKnowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and billing procedures in a healthcare setting preferredKnowledge of billing regulations and compliance requirements preferredBenefitsPaid Sick TimeCompany OverviewMountainside is a hospital & health care company that provides drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation services.
