[Remote] Accounts Payable Specialist

They are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to perform advanced accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and collaboration across departments to maintain financial integrity.ResponsibilitiesReview, validate, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and established AP proceduresPerform twoâway matching (PO and invoice) and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with Procurement, Project Managers, and vendorsPrepare and execute weekly payment runs, including ACH, check payments, ensuring proper approvals and documentationMaintain accurate and complete AP records to support internal controls and audit readinessRespond to vendor inquiries, research payment issues, and maintain updated vendor profiles and required documentationReview and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company travel and expense policiesSupport monthâend close activities, including AP accruals, aging analysis, reconciliations, and reportingAssist in developing and refining AP processes to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controlsCollaborate with crossâfunctional teams to ensure timely resolution of APârelated issuesSkills5â7 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a professional services or projectâbased environmentStrong understanding of AP workflows, internal controls, and invoice lifecycle managementProficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar)High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skillsStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fastâpaced environment while meeting deadlinesExperience with UnanetKnowledge of vendor onboarding, 1099 processing, and yearâend AP reportingExperience supporting audit activities or internal control reviewsBenefitsWe offer a top-tier benefits package to invest in your physical, mental, and financial health and wellness so that you can be your best self - at work *and* in life.Opportunities to learn new skills, seize new challenges, and advance your career as we grow.100% Remote within the United StatesCompany OverviewTria Federal builds, modernizes, and operates mission-critical federal health platforms and programs.
