[Remote] Accounting Manager

They are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards while managing relationships with external partners.ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting activitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsEnsure compliance with GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition requirementsOversee multi-state sales tax compliance and reporting across U.S. jurisdictionsPartner with external accounting and tax firms to support audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirementsMaintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting proceduresReconcile financial accounts and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial dataSupport billing, expense management, and payment processing functions integrated with accounting platformsProvide financial insights and analysis to support business operations, revenue tracking, and growth initiativesAssist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planningSkills5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid sized businessStrong working knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606Demonstrated experience with multi state sales tax compliance in the USExperience preparing full financial statements, including balance sheet and cash flow statementsStrong understanding of internal controls and audit readinessExperience working with external accounting and tax firmsHands on experience with modern accounting systems such as Stripe, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similarComfort working with billing, expense, and payment platforms integrated with accounting systemsExperience in SaaS or services based businessesExperience operating in a lean finance or first in house accounting roleBachelors or Masters Degree in AccountingCPA is preferred but not a must haveExperience supporting high-growth technology organizationsExperience improving accounting processes and operational efficiencyStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesBenefitsMedical coverage and Health Savings Account (HSA) through AnthemDental/Vision/Various Ancillary coverages through Unum401(k) retirement savings planPaid-time-off optionsCompany-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Discount programs through ADP WorkforceNowCompany OverviewStand8 is a global technology consulting and staffing leader that helps businesses transform and scale through tailored IT solutions.
