[Remote] Accounting Manager

Forrer Group, Inc. is a high growth technology company backed by venture capital, seeking to hire an Accounting Manager to oversee general accounting operations at the corporate level. The role involves leading accounting operations, managing the accounting team, and implementing scalable accounting policies while leveraging technology to improve efficiency.ResponsibilitiesLead all core accounting operations, including month end close, compliance, audits, revenue accounting, accounts payable and receivable, treasury, and payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and operational excellenceManage and develop the accounting team, provide mentorship, build organizational capabilities, and help shape future hiring and team structureApproach challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset, balancing strong financial controls with business needs and identifying ways to support growth without creating unnecessary barriersDesign and implement scalable accounting policies, controls, and processes, while leveraging automation and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and accuracy. Serve as a key champion for technology adoption across the finance functionCommunicate complex accounting concepts in a clear, accessible way, helping stakeholders understand the business impact behind the numbersPartner closely with FP&A, Revenue Operations, and cross functional leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decision makingLead high-impact initiatives, including ERP and billing system implementations, optimization of the company’s finance technology stack, and support for fundraising, investor diligence, and other strategic transactionsContinuously evaluate team structure, workflows, and responsibilities as automation reduces manual tasks, enabling the organization to focus on higher-value analysis, judgment, and business partnershipSkills5+ years of progressive accounting experienceA builder's mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, process optimization, and organizational scaleDeep expertise in U.S. GAAP, including significant hands-on experience with ASC 606, ideally within SaaS, subscription, or recurring revenue business modelsStrong proficiency with modern accounting systems and ERP platforms, such as NetSuite or QuickBooks, along with enthusiasm for adopting emerging technologiesExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across remote and hybrid teamsExperience supporting fundraising efforts, investor due diligence, and strategic financing activitiesExperience working in an earlier stage company is preferred with a proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, resource-constrained environmentsCompany OverviewForrer Group is the preeminent executive search firm dedicated to serving the hiring needs of select private equity and venture capital funds (including their portfolio companies), family offices and other publicly traded corporations.
