[Remote] Accounting Generalist (TEMP) - The Langham, Pasadena

They are seeking an Accounting Generalist to assist in handling guest inquiries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end processes within the accounting department. Responsibilities Handle guest calls and inquiries, research charge back and respond in a timely manner to avoid loss in revenue Assist General Cashier in opening cash envelopes and conducting house bank audits if necessary Responsible for maintaining and updating contracts, permits and licenses log on regular basis Review contract, permits and license file regularly and advise Director of Finance, Hotel Controller, department head related to any expiring contracts, permits and licenses with sufficient time before expiration Assist Accounts Payable in posting when necessary Assists Accounts Receivables Manager in some billing if necessary Research charge back and respond in a timely manner to avoid loss in revenue Assists and conduct month end inventories as requested by purchasing manager Assists Hotel Controller and Accounting Manager during month end close Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance, Hotel Controller and Accounting Manager Skills High School degree or GED Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner Ability to operate a 10-key by touch Proficient in Excel and Word Effective Communication skills both oral and written Degree in Accounting Previous experience and knowledge of OPERA Previous knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects such as accounts receivable 1-2 years experience in hotel accounting Company Overview EVOLUTION OF HOSPITALITY.
