Key Objectives The primary goal of the Remote Accounting Data Assistant is to maintain accurate financial records by efficiently managing accounting data, supporting transaction processing, and assisting with routine financial tasks to enable smooth and compliant accounting operations. Responsibilities • Accurately enter and update financial data into accounting software and databases. • Verify and reconcile invoices, receipts, and other financial documents. • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing relevant documentation. • Maintain organized digital records and ensure data confidentiality. • Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and improve data accuracy. • Generate routine financial reports as needed. • Communicate effectively with internal teams to support financial operations. Requirements • Proven experience in data entry or accounting support roles. • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Excel. • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work environment. • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or certification in accounting or finance preferred. • Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting assistance, or data management is an advantage. • Proficiency in using digital tools and remote collaboration platforms.
