Remote Accounting Clerk

Reports To: Accounting Manager
Location: Fully Remote (Must be based in Buenos Aires)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive Remote Accounting Clerk. In this role, you will be the backbone of our digital finance operations, handling everything from daily transaction entry to sophisticated general ledger account analysis. Because this role is remote, we value candidates who are exceptional communicators, disciplined time-managers, and comfortable navigating a fully digital tech stack.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General Ledger Account Analysis: Regularly review and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure proper coding and classification. Investigate variances and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.

• Digital Data Management: Maintain a paperless filing system; ensure all digital receipts, invoices, and contracts are correctly labeled and stored in our cloud-based repository.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process digital invoices via QuickBooks, manage vendor inquiries via email/Slack, and monitor AR aging reports for timely collections.

• Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly statements within our cloud accounting software to ensure that the general ledger reflects real-time accuracy.

• Month-End Support: Support the senior team during close by providing account reconciliations, schedules, and documentation for audits.

REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Dedicated Workspace: A quiet, professional home office environment free from distractions.

• Tech Stack Proficiency: High comfort level with cloud accounting (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct) and collaboration tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).

• Technical Setup: Must have access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a secure computer setup.

• Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills; ability to provide clear status updates asynchronously.
  

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.

• Experience: 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience (prior remote experience is a major plus).

• Technical: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF statements).

• Autonomy: A self-starter who can meet deadlines without physical supervision.
  

MONTHLY COMPENSATION:

• Total Target Compensation: US$ 1,500
