[Remote] Accounting Associate

They are seeking motivated and knowledgeable finance & accounting professionals to provide clients with essential financial information for decision-making and support their growth. The role involves maintaining client relationships, handling financial operations, and participating in the monthly financial close process.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a deep understanding of the client’s business and accounting operationsPlay an integral role in the monthly financial close process by preparing account reconciliations as well as analyzing data and preparing journal entriesPrepare/analyze the financial close package which (can) include financial statements and budget vs. actual analysisSupport the day-to-day finance operations of the client; including activities such as reviewing A/P and expense reports, corresponding with vendors and contractors, assisting client employees with on/off-boarding and payroll questionsSupport the client’s operations to grow and scale by participating in automation, process enhancement and system implementation initiativesAssist with compliance requests from investors, banks, tax accountants, and external auditorsSupport the client and KBC team with various analyses and ad hoc projectsParticipate in training to meet KBC’s quality standards and client expectationsSkillsBachelor's degree with emphasis in AccountingMinimum Cumulative GPA of 3.3Strong Excel skills and adaptability to new technology and toolsStrong analytical, problem-solving and reconciliation skillsMeaningful experience participating in month-end closing activitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent project management and client service skillsConfidence and curiosity to take on new learning experiencesAbility and desire to work independently and remotely while being a supportive team memberAbility and desire to self-start, taking on new initiatives without being asked to do soEnthusiasm and ability to physically support KBC teams, clients, and events in local markets (when Covid permits)A 'can do' attitudeCPA license preferredTechnical knowledge of GAAP / IFRS / SEC accounting and reporting requirements preferredBenefits401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceVision insuranceWork from homeCompany OverviewTechnology Start-up Accounting and Consulting It was founded in 2013, and is headquartered in San Francisco, California, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
