[Remote] Accounting Analyst

SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. is looking for an Accounting Analyst to manage month-end close activities for the U.S. General Ledger and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP. The role involves preparing financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and maintaining accurate financial data for management review.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for month-end close activities for the U.S. General Ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAPAccurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for ManagementDefines financial situation by assembling financial data for analysisPresent analysis to ManagementReview financial performance with variance analysisResponsible for the reconciliation of the GL and Balance Sheet accounts on monthly basisBalance Sheet ReconciliationsShared services: Ability to replicate in more than one companyResponsible for preparing analytical reports by contractAccurate and timely reporting to assess job performanceSkillsBachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Economics, and/or BusinessAssociate's Degree Finance, Accounting or related fields1-3 years of experience in U.S. accounting and general ledger accounting1-3 years Experienced with ERP software as Oracle or SAP1-3 years Microsoft Office, especially excel proficiencyThe ideal candidate demonstrates analytical rigor, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within established compliance frameworksProficient organizational skills to ensure that the organization has accurate and timely accounting and financial reportingMaintain the general ledger and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and classifiedSupports financial transactions by entering account information; collecting and analyzing information for financial evaluations, due diligence, acquisition financing and integrationResponsible for drive monthly financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliationsProficient mathematical and analytical skills are needed to understand financial reportsBilingual - English and SpanishExperienced with Oracle Financial Systems or SAP preferredExperience in a corporate accounting department or accounting firm is highly desirableCompany OverviewDriving the Future with Technology, Talent, and Strategic Solutions At SMX Services & Consulting, Inc., we transform the way businesses manage their technology and talent by providing comprehensive solutions in IT & Engineering Staffing, SAP, Cybersecurity, Managed Services, and Digital Health.
