[Remote] Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is looking to hire an Accounting professional focused on managing and reviewing grant expenses during closeout. The role involves ensuring compliance with federal guidelines, working with partners to collect documentation, and maintaining accurate financial records in NetSuite.ResponsibilitiesReview and validate expense reports and invoices to ensure compliance with federal guidelines and approved budgetsIdentify and flag non-compliant or unsupported expenses and drive resolutionServe as the primary point of contact for partners, collecting missing documentation and guiding them through requirementsCode and enter approved expenses in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and proper alignment to budget structuresReconcile transactions against supporting documentation and maintain clean financial recordsProvide guidance on allowable costs throughout the spend period to ensure ongoing complianceTrack spend against budgets and flag variances or pacing concerns earlyMaintain reporting and trackers to give leadership visibility into financial statusIdentify potential compliance risks or documentation gaps prior to auditApply knowledge of 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) to evaluate allowability, allocability, and reasonableness of costs submittedSkills3+ years of accounting or financial operations experience, with direct exposure to federal grant accounting or nonprofit fund accountingWorking knowledge of 2 CFR 200 / Uniform Guidance cost principles, including allowability and documentation standardsProficiency with Oracle NetSuite or comparable mid-market ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions across multiple budget structures simultaneouslyEffective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable corresponding with external stakeholders who are not finance professionalsPrior experience supporting federal grant closeout or subrecipient monitoringFamiliarity with EDA, HHS, DOL, or similar federal agency grant programsExperience in a nonprofit membership association or mission-driven organizationBenefitsCommission is also offered based on performance.Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.Company OverviewInsight Global provides top talent and staffing solutions that help job seekers find careers in healthcare, finance, IT, and government.
