This dynamic role involves developing and maintaining clients' insurance needs through effective account management and marketing strategies.ResponsibilitiesAccount management and some marketing for assigned clientsCoordinate all aspects of renewal marketing process with client(s)Prepare account specifications, negotiate pricing, and finalize policy conditionsPolicies to be checked and transmitted in a timely mannerHelp coordinate invoicing, preparing certificates, and evidence of insurancePrepare account proposals for presentationExplain and clarify coverage forms to clientsManage account services, coordinate, and direct the activitiesExpand existing accounts by offering additional lines of coverage in collaboration with the sales team to round out coveragesThorough documentation is required on each account with proper E&O procedures strictly followedOther duties and projects as assignedSkillsHigh School graduate/GE requiredMinimum of two (3) years' working experience in Account Management or related positionActive P&C insurance license is requiredAdaptable, self-starter, with experienced decision-making skillsEffective communication and collaboration skills, both written and oralProblem solving, analytical, and marketing skills requiredMust be organized and able to manage time effectivelyProficient in MS Office – namely Outlook, Excel, WordProfessional demeanor and behavior required, as referenced in the Heffernan core values (Habits)BenefitsEligible to participate in an annual bonus programA comprehensive benefits package designed to promote well-being, growth, and long-term successCompany OverviewHeffernan is an independent insurance brokerage firm offering financial services, business and financial insurance, and employee benefits.
