The Account Manager - Albertsons NorCal role involves creating and executing sales plans to meet established quotas while building strong relationships with clients in the grocery retail sector.ResponsibilitiesCreate and execute account sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports company revenue and profit targetsMeet regularly with existing customers to understand their evolving business needs and position product solutions to address those needs, provide all maintenance, new item submissions, promotional support, etcBuild long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers & clientsMaintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and clients and be available and responsive to their real-time needsWork effectively/professionally with company’s internal departments (Client Development Team, Marketing, Insights, Client Services, Business Support Specialists & Accounts Receivable), assuring elite management of our clients and customers businessesAttend all required national trade shows, market specific sales meetings, client specific sales meetings, or any other necessary functions (established by your supervisor)Guide Clients through the total distribution process; including pricing and promotional strategy, new item introductions, logistics and supply chain, deduction management with AlbertsonsCoordinate and prepare Clients for top-to-top meetings and category business reviews with Distributor partnersDirect Clients and Company personnel through the planning, preparation, and execution of Distributors’ trade showsAssume responsibility in selling the mission, vision, and direction of the organization to current and potential clientsSkillsStrong knowledge of the consumer products industry (specifically food products)Mid/strong level of knowledge of grocery retailers in assigned market - Albertsons (ACI) NorCal4-year bachelor's degree, and/or similar industry experienceProficient with all necessary computer-based programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Extensive relationships in the NorCal marketHave prior knowledge analyzing syndicated data from SPINs, IRI or NielsenPrior food sales experience with Albertsons NorCalPrior agency/ broker experienceBenefitsPTO & Sick Days11 paid company holidays per year1 floating holiday2 paid volunteer days per year3 months fully paid parental leave (regardless of gender)Medical, dental, and visionPaid company life insurance401k with company matchBonus eligibleSummer hours (half day Fridays from Memorial Day thru Labor Day)Work from home flexibilityCompany OverviewC.A.
