[Remote] Account Manager

The role involves developing customer relationships, soliciting new business, collaborating cross-functionally, and supporting the company's strategic growth objectives.ResponsibilitiesOperate as primary point of contact for contact for day-to-day communication between Customers and Maker’s PrideDevelop and maintain close working relationships with key CustomersSolicit new business at existing customers and recruit new customers to the portfolioMaintain prospect pipelineWork cross-functionally with peers in R&D, Operations, Sales/Business Development, Finance and Executive Team to validate, prioritize and deliver Customer projectsProvide appropriate information, reviews, adjustments and insight to Customer and Maker’s Pride cross-functional teams to promote effective delivery of the Customer’s requirementsParticipate in Customer specific Product Development and Commercialization processes from inception to completion providing regular updates to internal and external stakeholdersOperate as an extension of the Customers’ networks. Facilitate speed, flexibility, and innovative solutions. Facilitate cross-functional engagements between Customer and the Maker’s Pride team to create mutually beneficial solutionsCollaborate with operations on day to day business and output execution – ensure adherence to decision making criteria and processCollaborate with Commercial Finance to ensure appropriate financial performance for new and ongoing businessAssist in creating and executing Customer specific account plans to grow sales in line with company strategy. Includes assisting in budget, forecasting, growth and pricing plansSupport the company vision to be a world-class food manufacturer, the industry leader, and the premier customer-centric manufacturing partnerAssist in negotiating terms, pricing and expenditures within budget and agreed parametersAnalyze market trends in the industry, using external and internal resources to identify growth and profit improvement opportunitiesMust be willing to travel as required (1 – 2 times per month)SkillsBachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field required5+ years of business development experienceProficient in MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Co-PilotDemonstrated ability to influence across all levels in the organizationTrack record of having built outstanding and effective relationships with cross-functional teams and customersStrong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple work streams meeting reporting deadlinesStrong experience in large strategic account management and project managementUnderstanding of the P&L and financial acumenOrganized and detail-oriented; ability to work in situations with changing priorities and multiple simultaneous assignmentsStrong verbal and written communication; experience developing and presenting analyses to management and Customer with the ability to lead and drive initiativesAbility to work autonomously, to meet tight deadlines, and to thrive in a fast-paced environmentMust be willing to travel as required (1 – 2 times per month)Experience in a multi-unit food manufacturing environment, supply chain optimization, or contract manufacturingBenefitsDiscretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performanceA comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employmentCompany OverviewMaker's Pride manufactures private-label food products and packaging for retail and foodservice brands.
