[Remote] Account Manager

The Account Manager will manage employer relationships from contract signing through renewal, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment with the nurse care coordination team to achieve measurable savings and enhance member experience.ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation process from signed contract through go-live, including kickoff and alignment meetings with the employerâs HR teamDevelop the member benefits guide and open-enrollment presentation materialsCoordinate with the third-party administrator (TPA) to set up the groupâs plan, eligibility feeds, and bankingReview plan configuration, member ID cards, and supporting documentation before they reach the employerAttend the employerâs open enrollment sessions and answer member questions in real timeServe as the primary point of contact for the employerâs HR team and brokerProvide account support for questions that come in from groups and brokers â plan design, claims status, billing, vendor coordination, and other day-to-day inquiriesManage the shared account management inbox and ticket queue, ensuring service-level commitments are metRoute member care and clinical questions to the nurse team; serve as a bridge so HR and the nurse team stay aligned on member-experience issuesOwn quarterly client performance reviews end-to-end: data analysis, presentation, broker and employer meetings, and follow-up actionsMonitor claims data, utilization trends, and plan savings reporting; surface trends that need employer attentionRecommend plan design refinements and member engagement strategies that hit savings and retention goalsDrive employee adoption of direct primary care and preferred provider options through targeted communications and member engagement campaignsBuild and deliver the annual renewal presentation, including benchmarking, plan design recommendations, and savings projectionsProvide claims and utilization analysis to the sales team for stop-loss negotiationsPlan and deliver open enrollment for renewing groupsReview the renewal-year plan configuration before it goes liveSkills3+ years of experience in an account management or similar client-facing roleComfort utilizing AI toolsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously and prioritize across competing demandsStrong written and verbal communication skills â able to translate complex healthcare data into clear, confident recommendations for HR teams and executivesProficiency with Excel and presentation tools; comfort working with claims and utilization dataWisconsin residency and ability to travel within Wisconsin and nearby surrounding states; valid driver's license requiredExperience in a self-funded or direct primary care environmentFamiliarity with third-party administrator platforms and benefits administration softwareBackground in healthcare claims analysis, population health, or pharmacy benefit managementExperience presenting to executive audiences and supporting renewal negotiationsBenefitsCoverage under Self Fund Healthâs own plan, including direct primary care access at no cost.
