[Remote] Account Executive (Retail)

They are seeking a full-time Account Executive to expand market share within the retail sector by leveraging existing relationships and driving new business development initiatives.ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to high-value retail clients, including national and regional brands, franchise operators, and multi-site portfolio ownersLeverage an existing, active book of business to drive immediate growth across EBI’s service linesIdentify and close new business opportunities with retailers, restaurant groups, franchise systems, private equity sponsors, and multi-site operatorsCross-sell EBI’s multi-disciplinary service offerings (Environmental Due Diligence, ESG Strategy, Energy & Sustainability, Engineering, and Health & Safety) across large, distributed portfoliosMaintain and develop long-term client relationships based on a deep understanding of client goals, site lifecycle needs, operational challenges, and brand standardsProvide market intelligence to inform EBI’s sales strategy, forecasting, and service development within the retail sectorActively contribute to CRM utilization and sales process optimizationBuild long-term, dynamic, customer-centric relationships with clientsDemonstrate strong business development, customer service, technical knowledge, and leadership skills, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environmentSkillsBachelor's Degree from an accredited university with a focus in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar fieldsMinimum of 5+ years of professional experience with proven experience selling solutions or services to retail organizations, such as specialty retail, big box, grocery, convenience, or omnichannel retailersDemonstrated understanding of retail business models, including store operations, merchandising, supply chain, and corporate buying structuresExperience engaging with retail decision-makers (e.g., VP/Director of Operations, Real Estate, Store Development, Merchandising, or Finance)Ability to identify and articulate value around key retail priorities such as store performance, cost control, scalability, risk management, and speed to marketStrong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate complex offerings into clear, business-driven outcomes for retail clientsBenefitsThis position may also be eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance.Company OverviewEnvironmental, engineering, and due diligence services It was founded in 1989, and is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, USA, with a workforce of 501-1000 employees.
