The Account Executive, Legacy will provide strategic oversight for direct marketing fundraising programs for various nonprofit clients, managing client relationships and ensuring effective fundraising strategies.ResponsibilitiesFor small-mid clients, draft client annual plans with Account Lead supportDraft expenses for annual plans with Account Lead supportInterpret and present program and project resultsOversee client’s annual expensesFor small-mid clients, provide strategic oversight of client marketing fundraising projects, understanding their role in advancing overall client program strategyFor large clients, provide strategic oversight for a portion of client fundraising projects, understanding their role in advancing overall client program strategyOversee production management and creative process for projectsDraft and assist in presenting strategy decks with support from Account LeadOversee execution of year-long direct marketing schedulesDirect and guide copywriters and designers to ensure creative for each project is aligned with overall project and program strategyManage account and production team service delivery to the client, including problem-solving and accountability for errorsFor integrated clients, coordinate with offline and digital to draft multi-channel campaigns and wrap-up decksGain familiarity with clients’ missions, programs and institutional voice and work with Account Lead to identify topics, issues, and projects for fundraising appealsServe as liaison with client contacts, ensuring day-to-day service satisfactionIdentify opportunities to expand client work/scope with support of Account LeadMentor managers, coordinators, or assistants; other team membersAssist with new business proposals and presentations as requestedSkillsMinimum years of experience required: 7 years in nonprofit fundraising and/or advocacy with at least 2 to 4 years in nonprofit planned giving fundraising and marketingProficiency working on multiple projects simultaneouslyWorking knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook)Demonstrated effective use of digital tools to manage internal and external workflow and communication (including email, chat, zoom, and online workflow tool)Production knowledgeCommunication. Presents with a confident communication style, tailoring messaging to influence outcomes and support desired goals with various stakeholders and audiencesWriting/Editing Skills. Regularly drafts initial content that is presentable to internal and external stakeholders, while also effectively incorporating constructive feedback from others to consistently improve quality of writingAttention to Detail.
