[Remote] Account Executive (EdTech Division)

They are seeking a driven Account Executive specializing in EdTech to accelerate new business acquisition across their education-focused portfolio companies, engaging various educational institutions and managing the entire sales cycle.ResponsibilitiesIdentify, target, and convert new logo opportunities in K–12, Higher Ed, and Continuing EducationBuild prospecting strategies using market insight into SIS platforms, academic workflow pain points, and institutional prioritiesExecute targeted outbound campaigns and engage administrators, IT leaders, academic departments, and procurement teamsManage full-cycle SaaS sales from qualification through contractingLead tailored product demos for academic committees, IT groups, and operational leadersConduct deep discovery around challenges such as accreditation, student lifecycle workflows, compliance, scheduling, or credentialingBuild ROI-driven value propositions aligned to institutional outcomesApply MEDDPICC rigor to improve qualification, deal progression, and forecast accuracyMaintain accurate data and documentation in HubSpotPresent compelling business cases to academic councils and executive sponsorsWork closely with SDRs to refine targeting across education segmentsPartner with Marketing to shape vertical campaigns and contentEnsure seamless handoff to Customer Success for onboarding and adoptionNavigate complex procurement processes, RFPs, and contractingStructure terms aligned with institutional fiscal cycles and decision milestonesSkills5+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, with a strong record of meeting or exceeding quotaProven success selling into K–12, Higher Ed, or educational institutionsExperience closing SaaS deals across the full spectrum—from small businesses to large enterprise organizationsExperience working with MEDDPICC or similar structured methodologiesProven ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders, including senior decision-makersExceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsSelf-starter with resilience, discipline, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environmentExperience with Student Information Systems, academic operations, credentialing, or compliance toolsFamiliarity with FERPA, accreditation requirements, and institutional purchasing processesSuccess working cross-functionally with SDRs, Marketing, and Product teamsCRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred)Company OverviewCordance is dedicated to accelerating the growth of vertically focused business-to-business (B2B) software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies.
